Cinnamon And Weight Loss - Secrets Of Natural Weight Loss

Background:

Cinnamon is a spice made from the bark of an evergreen Cinnamon tree. It is commonly used in many recipes in cooking, deserts, drinks, and candy yet its benefits are much less known. Cinnamon helps in three major ways in weight loss:

Increasing Metabolism:

One of major roles that cinnamon plays in weight loss is increasing a person's metabolism. Increasing the metabolism of the body is our goal in losing weight because the cells work more and consume the stored food, leaving your body in good health. So how does Cinnamon do that?

Cinnamon increases the metabolism of glucose from the food you eat. All carbohydrates break down to simple sugars and glucose, your body uses it for energy and whatever is left is stored. Cinnamon simply helps your body burn more of this glucose.

Insulin secretion:

Cinnamon helps in weight loss by increasing the insulin production. This relates to the first point as well; when more insulin is secreted, your cells will use up more stored energy sources.

So that is how cinnamon "cleans your blood" and helps you lose more weight.

Appetite Control:

Insulin helps you lose weight as well by controlling your appetite. Many studies have shown that consumption of cinnamon helps people increase their satiety levels and eat less. You do not need to worry about starving; it will simply make you eat less food that is unnecessary for your diet.

One thing you need to be aware of is that eating deserts that contain cinnamon will not help you lose weight. This is because the carb and fat to cinnamon ratio is too big. So avoid having cinnamon cookies and lattes and consume cinnamon in healthier ways such as in supplements, or mixed with your meal, or simply in your afternoon tea.
